This will increase the cold in the first week of December, marking the beginning of a bitterly cold winter. On Sunday, Kanpur experienced the coldest night in the state, reaching 7.8 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold wave will persist on Monday as well.

The cold wave has not yet had a direct impact. Kanpur’s nights continue to be the coldest in the state. Sunday’s minimum temperature was 7.8 degrees Celsius, 5.3 degrees below normal. On Saturday, it was 7.6 degrees Celsius.

Cold Wave to Continue

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the cold wave in western and southern Uttar Pradesh is likely to continue for another day or two. After that, temperatures may rise slightly. The series of disturbances has not yet begun. The mountains are still covered in snow. Despite the light western winds, the cold wave persists.

Winds will change after 48 hours.

According to the Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA) Meteorological Department, there is currently no significant change in the minimum temperature. If the wind speed increases, the cold may increase. A change in wind speed is expected after the next 48 hours. Clear skies will bring bright sunshine. Fog and mist will persist in the morning and evening.
