New Delhi: This year winter has started. After snowfall in the mountains, the cold winds coming from there are increasing the cold in the plains. A big difference is being seen in day and night temperatures. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the temperature will drop further in the coming days, which will increase the cold.
At present, the weather will remain clear in the plains. There is no chance of rain or dense fog. Temperatures are falling rapidly in many states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The temperature in Badrinath Dham of Uttarakhand has reached minus 8 degrees, due to which the waterfalls and lakes there have frozen.
Delhi experienced the coldest morning in 3 years last day. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius on Monday. Earlier, the lowest temperature in November was 7.3 degrees Celsius on November 29, 2022. At the same time, for the first time in November the temperature in Rajasthan has fallen below 5 degrees. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature recorded in Fatehpur was 4.9 degrees Celsius. The temperature in 15 cities of the state remained between 5 to 10 degrees. For the first time in 15 years, the temperature in Mount Abu has reached zero in November, due to which the dew drops have frozen.
Last year, dew drops in Mount Abu turned into snow on 10 December 2024.
There is a possibility of change in weather due to weak western disturbance in Haryana from tonight. Cloudy cover is expected tonight, which may increase the night temperature, but a slight drop in the day temperature may be seen. Day temperature in Haryana remains near normal, but night temperature is falling by 4.7 degrees. Especially in the areas of Haryana adjacent to Rajasthan, the minimum temperature is continuously decreasing.
The minimum temperature in Punjab has reached 5 degrees. This is the lowest temperature since the beginning of winter this year, and it may fall further in the coming two weeks. However, there has been a slight increase in the average temperature in the state in the last 24 hours, which is close to normal. There is a possibility of sunshine and clear weather in the next 72 hours, due to which there will be no major change in the temperature of the state.
