Page Six reported that Grégoire, 50, spoke publicly about the romance for the first time during an appearance on the “Arlene Is Alone” podcast, released Nov. 13. She told host Arlene Dickinson: “We’re all human beings and stuff affects us. How you react to stuff is your decision. So I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.”

“What I do with it is my decision,” she added. “Does it mean that I don’t have emotions? That I don’t cry, scream, laugh? No!”

Grégoire stressed that despite their split, she and Trudeau maintain a shared family life, so she refuses to call herself “a single mom.” She also praised Trudeau as “a father who has such deep love and availability to his children.”

“We’ve raised the kids together,” she added.

According to CNNGrégoire and Trudeau, 53, announced their separation in Aug. 2023 after marrying in 2005. The couple share three children: Xavier, 18; Ella-Grace, 16; and Hadrien, 11.

Trudeau and Perry were first publicly linked in July after being spotted on a dinner date in Montreal, Canada. The relationship drew wider attention in October, when the pair were seen holding hands at the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris during celebrations around Perry’s 41st birthday.
