It appears wedding bells could be ringing for one of this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! contestants.

The cherished programme made its return to television screens on Sunday evening, featuring 10 celebrities trading their luxurious lifestyles for the harsh realities of the Australian wilderness.

Sofar, ITV audiences have witnessed the famous faces leaping from helicopters, placing their heads in containers filled with serpents, and participating in the series' first Bushtucker trial, which left certain viewers rather unimpressed.

Nevertheless, beyond the realm of heart-stopping challenges and confronting their deepest fears, the campmates are becoming acquainted with each other on a far more intimate level, reports Belfast Live.

Speaking about her romance with vocalist Jess Glynne, Alex Scott revealed: "I think before her, I never knew happiness."

When Ruby Wax enquired about their initial meeting, Alex responded: "She approached me in Chiltern Firehouse.

"I was in there with my friends and she just walked up to me... [it was] really ballsy and I was like, I like your ballsiness, and then the spark was just instant and then yeah...we fell madly in love."

Eager to discover whether wedding bells were on the horizon, Alex continued: "I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!"

Prior to venturing into the jungle, the sporting personality admitted Jess would struggle during her absence.

She remarked: "Jess thinks I am absolutely mental! But she will be my biggest supporter, and my mum absolutely loves the show.

"Thinking of her tuning in every night will bring a tear. But I will need to push myself to speak out around all of the different and big personalities.

"Not going into myself for being the shy one will be my big challenge. People see you on TV and they assume you are outgoing, that loud person, but take me to red carpets or events.

"I am the one in the corner going, 'Talk to me, please give me a plus one so I don't have to be that person who walks in on my own'. It's going to be a challenge."

Alex and Jess have been an item for two years, having confirmed their relationship back in 2023.
