New Delhi: Young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi struggled with the bat on Tuesday in the Rising Star Asia Cup clash against Oman in Doha Qatar. Suryavanshi managed to score only 12 runs in the tournamnets final league stage match. Suryavanshi struggled throughout his 12 runs innings at one point scoring 8 runs off 11 balls. He managed to hit off-spinner Jay Odedra over cover for a boundary on the first ball of the fifth over but his attempt to clear the ropes with a straight six on the next delivery backfired as he was caught by Aryan Bisht on the boundary. Suryavanshi smashed two boundaries in his innings of 13 balls. Suryavanhsi samshed a 32-ball century vs UAE Earlier 14-year-old Suryavanshi lit up the stage in India As opening match against the UAE in the Rising Stars Asia Cup as he smashed a 32-ball century. The ton included 15 sixes and 11 fours to finish with 144 runs off just 42 balls. While in the second Group B league match on Sunday against Pakistan Shaheens Sooryavanshi was his teams highest run-scorer continuing his good form scoring 45 off 28 deliveries which included five boundaries and three sixes. Suryavanshi who debuted in the IPL last season already holds the record for the second-fastest century in the tournament scoring 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans in just 35 deliveries. Chasing 136 India suffered a major setback as Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Suryavanshi departed cheaply for 10 and 12 respectively. With this victory India A became the second team from Group B after the Pakistan Shaheens to advance to the semifinals. In the Rising Stars Asia Cup the teams are divided into two groups: Group A features Afghanistan Bangladesh Hong Kong and Sri Lanka while Group B consists of India Oman Pakistan and the UAE.
