In the match against New Zealand, Shai Hope, who came to bat at number four, played an unbeaten inning of 109 runs with the help of 4 sixes and 13 fours in 69 balls. This was the 19th century of Hope’s ODI career. With this century, Hope equaled the record of 19 centuries scored by Brian Lara in ODIs for West Indies. He also completed his 6,000 runs in ODI cricket. Hope was chosen player of the match for his century, but West Indies lost the match by 5 wickets.
