On Tuesday afternoon, the highly anticipated trailer for 'Dhurandhar,' featuring Ranveer Singh, was unveiled in Mumbai, offering fans an exciting glimpse into this spy thriller.
The four-minute trailer sequentially introduces the main characters, starting with a harrowing torture scene that showcases Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, also known as the Angel of Death, who ominously vows to 'bleed India with a thousand cuts.' R Madhavan portrays the Indian spymaster Sanyal, who believes that infiltrating enemy lines is essential to neutralize the threat. Akshaye Khanna takes on the role of Rehman Dakait, a cunning and perilous antagonist, while Sanjay Dutt joins the villainous ranks as SP Chaudhary Aslam. As the trailer progresses, Ranveer emerges as the protagonist tasked with countering these threats, with the latter part filled with intense action sequences, gunfire, and rapid cuts.
Discussing the film, Ranveer expressed, 'Our goal was to craft a cinematic experience that stands shoulder to shoulder with global standards. We aimed to elevate every facet of filmmaking to produce a movie that we, as Indians, can take pride in.'
'It's raw, gritty, and unapologetically Indian. Aditya has pitched it perfectly. The narrative is intricate, supported by world-class technical execution and powerful performances. We aspire to create a film that is distinctly Indian and ranks among the finest in this genre globally. I believe this is India's moment to shine on the world stage, and we intend to be at the forefront of that movement while honoring our roots,' he added.
Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, 'Dhurandhar' is directed by Aditya Dhar and is scheduled for theatrical release on December 5.

At the launch event in Mumbai, R Madhavan, who plays the role of Indian spymaster Sanyal, shared insights into his preparation for the character, revealing that it took him four hours to get ready.
'During the look test for my character, it took us nearly three to four hours to perfect everything. When I looked at myself, I felt something was missing. Aditya came over and said, 'Maddy, make your lips thinner...' So throughout the film, I maintained that look,' he reminisced.
