Now it has become clear that Team India will have to enter the Guwahati Test without its captain Shubman Gill. In this second match of the Test series between India and South Africa, the Indian team needs to win at any cost but it will have to make it possible without its captain. Team India not only had to face defeat in the Kolkata Test, but Gill's neck strain also created problems for him. This problem is related to the playing-11 and its solution is being found, for which a special all-rounder can be sacrificed.

After losing the Kolkata Test, Team India, which is 0-1 down in the series, faces the challenge of saving the series. His challenge is even more difficult because Shubman Gill will not be able to play in this test. Gill, who was suffering from a neck strain, had gone to Guwahati with the team and was hoping that he would somehow become fit before the match. But he did not participate in the team's first practice session on Thursday, 20 November, which made it clear that the Indian team would have to go without its captain. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant will captain.

The team has the answer to who will be the captain in place of Gill, but who will replace him in the playing 11, this is the biggest problem and the names of some contenders are being discussed for this. But taking lessons from the Kolkata Test, the team is hoping to balance the playing-11 and all-rounder Akshar Patel may have to pay the price for this by losing his place. According to the report of Times of India, Sai Sudarshan may get a chance in the team in place of Gill and instead of fielding 4 spinners like in the last Test, this time the team can field with only 3 spinners.

In such a situation, Akshar Patel seems to be the only candidate who may have to leave the place and Nitish Kumar Reddy may get a chance in his place. With the arrival of Reddy, an additional batsman can come to the team, who bats with the right hand. Akshar may have to be dropped because the team wants to capitalize on Washington Sundar's batting and this was seen in the Kolkata Test, where he was dropped at number three. In such a situation, he will not be dropped, whereas the question of keeping Ravindra Jadeja out does not arise and Kuldeep Yadav is the best spinner of the team at present. In such a situation, Akshar may have to sit out.
