A mini Freeview channel shake-up has just been confirmed, and now is a good time to check your settings and refresh the planner. From this week, there are two new services to watch with "That's Christmas" replacing "That's Oldies" on channel 75 and "That's 80s" arriving on Channel 93. As the names suggest, That's Christmas will be showing a swathe of festive-themed music content such as Best Xmas Music, 60s & 70s Music Live! and Ultimate Christmas Party!. That's 80s has yet to be updated on the telly listings, but will clearly be showing content from that era of vibrant pop.

So that's the good news, but there is also one service that will be closing its doors. It's been confirmed that "That's Rock MCR" will stop broadcasting after this week, which means Freeview users in the Manchester area will no longer be able to tune in.

Explaining more, Freeview said: "On 19 November 2025, some broadcasters are making changes to their channels.

"You will need to retune to update your TV and keep your channels and TV Guide up to date.

"Channels continue to evolve on Freeview with individual channel providers making the decision to move, add or remove channels. Freeview continues to ensure that audiences can enjoy a rich and varied content offering."

If you have Freeview and want to make sure things are fully up to date then you'll need to perform a quick retune. It doesn't take long and once it's done you'll have all the correct channels in the right places.

• Press menu on your box or TV remote control

• Select 'set-up', 'installation', 'update' or a similar option. If you're asked for a password, the default code is '1234' or '0000'.

• Select 'first-time installation' (sometimes called 'factory reset', 'full retune' or 'default settings').

• Press 'OK' if your equipment asks if it's OK to delete existing channels and then your retune should start automatically. If you're prompted to, save the channels that are found.
