The Family Man actors in an exclusive interview with SCREEN spilled some secrets about season 3. Manoj Bajpayee Priyamani Jaideep Ahlawat Nimrat Kaur and the creators Raj & DK shared the visionary talks behind the creation of their terrifying antagonists. They also talked about the unavoidable horror of the previous season What happened in Lonavala? Raj Nidimoru on Family Man Season 3 In an interview with SCREEN Raj Nidimoru while talking about Samantha in Season 2 said We didn’t realize we were creating powerful antagonists with each season because we’d written the first two seasons in the same breath. The first season’s antagonist was a completely different personality than the second season’s which was a fighter type. Raj added The third had to be different. So we were conscious of the fact that it can’t be the same kind of threat to the country or to Srikant’s family. We were conscious of it. It was a hard one to crack. Samanthas blessings for Nimrat Samantha gave a shoutout to Nimrat on the trailer of Family Man Season 3 on her Instagram handle. At this Nimrat said You just have to make sure you’re doing your best job and have fun while you’re doing it. You can very quickly not do justice to what’s been given to you. Miras character was Male The director of Family Man Season 3 Raj Nidimoru made a shocking revelation in the interview. He said that Miras character was formerly written to be male. Hearing this Nimrat joked No wonder she thinks like a guy. Raj then states that Mira was an advisor to the main antagonist and she was later pulled into the middle of all the action. Highlighting her masculine instincts Nimrat said This is so fascinating! Because I felt while playing Mira that she’s thinking like a guy! This is not a woman’s way of handling things. She happens to look like a woman but her instincts are quite masculine. Nimrat on stepping out of comfort zone Nimrat said that her biggest challenge was to step out of her comfort zone and added I had to always pull back on my instincts as a woman ki ye toh kitni galat baat chal rahi hai! Ye achhi cheez toh nahi hai! which means that it was extremely wrong and cant be right. So you need to have that conversation internally and step out of your own comfort zone as a person. That was the biggest challenge for me and just such a delicious one said Nimrat. Initial screenwriting had no Rukma Raj said that Jaideeps Rukma was not included in the former screenwriting of Suman Kumar. Rukma was more of a group of rebels who were fighting a cause. We needed somebody whom Srikant Tiwari would be intimidated by. Suddenly we had the idea of splitting it into two said Raj. At this DK mentioned Also as we were doing the research about the area and its problems we realized that the drug trade is also a problem. A drug dealer is as dangerous as a soldier because he has access to the same weapons has an army and operates outside the law. The only difference would be that an enemy soldier is still fighting for a country. A drug dealer is only doing it for the money and power. He can be completely ruthless. That formed the genesis of the character. Nagaland government should give me a house Jaideep expressed his wish to receive a house in Nagaland from the government after returning to the place and said It’s a different man different space different people around and a different vision. It’s a very difficult world to be in where Rukma is. He survives and flourishes in that area without being challenged by anyone. His power-driven and money-driven mindset is very interesting. When they clash they just become the antagonists in this story added DK. Jaideep and Manojs fun banter Manoj emphasised looking up to Jaideep for acting and said I keep calling him every time I watch Pataal Lok or his other work. He hasn’t called me yet though. I learn a lot from his scenes especially in Pataal Lok. How Hathi Ram reacts to something in a moment – I’ve even told him I’ve wondered if perhaps there is something more within me to invoke. I thought it can’t be done better than how he does it. Jaideep replies to Manoj by calling him a chalta-phirta institute meanining a walking institute. Story behind the name Family Man Manoj mentioned that he wanted an OTT show that would be seen by the families and households. Raj acknowledged his words and said that after multiple names they arrived at The Family Man as it gave a sense of just sitting at home. Suchitras betrayal Priyamani stated that if she posts anything personal on social media the comment sections are always flooded with questions: Why did you betray Srikant? This highlights the curiosity of everyone watching the show. She joked that the suspense has surpassed Why did katappa kill baahubali? At this DK humorously said Because the answer is not coming na. The Family Man Season 3 is available on Prime Video from November 21 2025.
