In the first innings, Crawley played a poor shot outside the off-stump, which went to slip. But during the second day’s play, in the second innings, Starc took a brilliant return catch and dismissed him to the pavilion.

On the fifth ball of England’s second innings, Crawley played a straight shot, the ball went fast towards 35-year-old Starc and he took an excellent catch by diving to the left. Crowley as well as the Australian players were surprised after seeing the catch.

Let us tell you that earlier on the second day, Australia was all out for 132 runs in the first innings, giving England a lead of 40 runs in the first innings.

Starc broke the back of England’s batting by taking the best 7 wickets of his career and due to which the visiting team was all out for 172 runs in the first innings. During this time he also completed his 100 wickets in the Ashes.

Let us tell you that in the first three innings of this match, the first wicket fell at 0. In England’s first innings, Starc dismissed Crawley (0) and in Australia’s innings, Joffra Archer dismissed Jake Weatherald (0). Then in the second over of England, Starc again showed the way to the pavilion to Crawley on a total score of 0.

This is the first time in the 148-year-old history of Test cricket that the opening partnership has not been able to score a single run in the first three innings of a match.
