Years after their story Madhuri Dixit recalled her first date with her husband Dr. Nene and how she was extremely frightened. Madhuri Opens Up About Her Unforgettable First Date Recalling the early days of her relationship Madhuri shared about her first date with Dr Nene on Simi Garewal’s show. She shared that he had invited her for a mountain-biking outing. Speaking about that moment Madhuri said “The first time we met he said ‘Let’s go mountain biking.’ I swear I had not sat on a bicycle for the past 20 years. I am like ‘Okay let’s go.’ Mom was like ‘What’s wrong with you? Do you know what it involves?’ And I am like ‘Yeah you just sit on a bike and you go.’ Once we went there that was when I knew what mountain biking is.” The actress remembered how nerve-wracking it felt as she realised the sport was far more intense than she expected. A Moment of Fear Courage and Connection Madhuri also shared how she was shocked by her own bravery. “I literally was frightened out of my wits… ‘Did I just come down that?’” When she later told Dr Nene that she had never done anything like this before he was genuinely impressed. He told her “You are brave.” 26 Years of Togetherness On October 17 the couple celebrated 26 years of marriage. Sharing about this milestone Madhuri took to her Instagram and posted a video that read “From moments to memories 26 years of walking through life hand in hand. Happy anniversary.”
