Weather Forecast: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alert in 6 states. Due to rain in the midst of winter, the temperature may fall further, due to which common people may have to face difficulties. At the same time, the effect of cold wave is going to intensify in North India. There is a possibility of a huge drop in temperature in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in many areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Fishermen living near the sea have been asked to be careful during this period. Due to rain the temperature will decrease and cold will increase.

The cold will increase due to strong winds

Cold is expected to increase in Delhi from today. According to the Meteorological Department, today the minimum temperature is likely to drop to around 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius. In the morning, winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour, due to which the chill may increase further.

The effect of cold is continuously increasing in Uttar Pradesh. The drop in temperature due to westerly winds is likely to continue for the next 2–3 days. During this period, the minimum temperature of the state may further decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius, due to which the effect of cold wave may become more intense.

Weather will remain clear till 25–27 November

The weather is likely to remain dry in Uttar Pradesh on Monday (24 November). Dense fog may occur at some places in Western UP, while there will be light to moderate fog in Eastern UP in the morning. The weather in the state may remain generally clear on 25, 26 and 27 November. These days, there will be a possibility of light to moderate fog in both the parts in the morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no active weather system in effect in Uttar Pradesh at this time. Despite this, the effect of westerly and north-western winds is so strong that dryness and coldness in the atmosphere is increasing rapidly. There is a possibility of light haze remaining even after the fog clears during the day.
