The Indian film industry is currently deeply mourning as it bids farewell to one of its most loved icons Dharmendra. The legendary actor took his last breath at 89 at his Juhu residence after a prolonged illness leaving behind a void that feels impossible to fill. Known for his timeless charm impeccable acting skils warmth and grace he wasnt just a star he was an emotion. Among the many who mourned him deeply was Shah Rukh Khan who shared an emotional message in remembrance of the man he considered a mentor and a father figure. In his message on X SRK wrote: “Rest in Peace Dharam ji. You were nothing short of a father figure to me… thank u for showering me with blessings and love the way you did. An inconsolable and irreplaceable loss to not just his family but to cinema and film lovers the world over. Shah Rukh continued his message with another emotional note: “You are immortal… and your soul will live through your films and your beautiful family forever. Love you always.” Capturing the emotions of all his fans and admirers alike Shah Rukh Khan has articulated the feelings of everyone. Dharmendras legacy is eternal and it truly does feel immortal. While he has left the world today he will always stay alive through his iconic films his kindness and the unforgettable warmth he carried both on and off screen. A Journey That Touched Generations Dharmendra also made a memorable cameo in SRK’s 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om dancing to the celebratory song “Deewangi Deewangi.” His presence brought together generations of cinema lovers who spoke about his major stardom.
