Bajra Halwa Recipe for Winter Health

Material

  • Bajra flour – 1 cup
  • Desi ghee – 4–5 tbsp
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Water – 2–2.5 cups
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Cashew-almonds – for decoration

Method (Bajra Halwa Recipe for Winter Health)

1. To make halwa, first of all you have to prepare jaggery solution. For this, heat water in a vessel and when the water becomes slightly hot, add jaggery in it and let it dissolve.

2. Now it starts boiling well and the jaggery melts well, then filter this solution and keep it separately.

3. Now take a pan and heat desi ghee in it. Now add millet flour to it and fry it well on low flame. Keep stirring it continuously so that the flour does not burn.

4. When the flour starts roasting properly, a very mild aroma will start coming from it. Meaning the dough is ready.

5. Now add the jaggery solution little by little into the flour and keep stirring continuously so that lumps do not form. Now let it cook further on low flame.

6. When the halwa starts releasing ghee, it means it is well prepared. Add some ghee on top and garnish with chopped cashews and almonds and serve. And enjoy hot halwa in winter.
