The wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been indefinitely postponed following an unforeseen medical emergency affecting both families. The celebrations, which were set to occur in Sangli on November 23, were abruptly replaced by urgent hospital visits after Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, exhibited symptoms akin to a heart attack and required immediate hospitalization.

Emotional Impact on the Families

The gravity of the situation has taken a toll on Palash, who shares a close bond with Shrinivas. Family members noted that Palash was more emotionally affected than Smriti herself. He insisted that all wedding activities be halted until Shrinivas fully recovers.

Palash's Health Declines Amidst Stress

As the situation worsened, Palash reportedly experienced a sudden health decline. His mother disclosed that the emotional strain had overwhelmed him, leading to multiple breakdowns. Medical professionals had to monitor him for several hours, during which he received an IV drip and underwent an ECG, although all tests returned normal. Doctors attributed his collapse to extreme stress.

Pre-Wedding Joy Turns to Concern

Just a day prior, Palash was in high spirits, celebrating during pre-wedding festivities and sharing joyful moments online. However, as the families prepared for the baraat, he began to feel unwell. Initially dismissing the discomfort, he ultimately required an ambulance when his condition worsened.

Postponement of Wedding Ceremonies

Medical professionals attending to Smriti's father indicated that his condition was likely exacerbated by the physical and emotional stress of wedding preparations. With the haldi ceremony completed and only the pheras left, the families had no choice but to postpone the wedding.

Both Smriti and Palash are reportedly heartbroken over the situation. Palash's mother expressed that he had always envisioned bringing his bride home, and the family had planned a special welcome for them. Following the medical emergencies, she decided to cancel all ceremonies scheduled for November 24.

Hope for a Future Celebration

Despite the current turmoil, both families remain optimistic. They are hopeful that the situation will improve soon, allowing the wedding to proceed once both Smriti's father and Palash regain their health.
