Drivers on the M1 near Towcester have been hit with delays after a police incident. The M1 Northbound is partially blocked due to the incident from J16 A45 (Daventry) to J17 M45 (Dunchurch / Coventry). Congestion is building as far back as J15A (Towcester / Northampton Services).

There are also 10-minute delays northbound between J15A and J16 following the police incident, according to Traffic England. Normal traffic conditions are expected to resume shortly, the agency said, but this is subject to change.
