Akhilesh Yadav:The Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral registers has come under fire from SP president Akhilesh Yadav, who claims it is a “big conspiracy” against the nation’s residents that might force them into a situation “worse than the colonial era.”

In a 20-second video he posted on his official X feed Thursday night, Yadav urged all opposition parties, including those affiliated with the governing National Democratic Alliance (NDA), to “unite and expose this mega-conspiracy of the BJP.”
He accused the roll revision procedure of being a democratic fraud. Individuals need to be vigilant.
Votes are being canceled today, and names will be deleted from caste certificates, reservations, ration cards, property records, and eventually middle-class bank accounts and lockers tomorrow.”
“This is a major conspiracy against the people of this country which will lead to a situation far worse than the colonial era,” the SP head said in a lengthy post.
Now is the moment to take action and safeguard each and every vote.
The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh urged people to “drop everything and stop the fraud taking place under SIR,” warning that the BJP-supporting parties will be the “first to be finished.”
The state administration, the BJP, its supporters, and “some corrupt officials in the Election Commission” are accused of trying to seize control of the whole election process. “Let’s band together to protect the nation from the blatant looting by BJP leaders and their allies and to preserve our identity as expressed through our votes,” Yadav said. If not, they will proclaim themselves foreigners tomorrow.
Three Union territories and nine states are participating in the SIR exercise.
According to the Election Commission (EC), its booth-level officers (BLOs) have spread out to provide voters partially completed enumeration forms and would assist them in completing the necessary paperwork.
