JKSSB releases Sub-Inspector recruitment notification, online applications to begin December 15

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has released a recruitment notification for Sub-Inspector positions. The application process will begin on December 15 and continue until January 13, 2026.

There's great news for young people seeking government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the official notification for Sub-Inspector positions.

A total of 83 candidates will be selected through this recruitment process. Candidates interested in applying for these positions can do so after the online application process begins on December 15, 2025. The deadline for applications is January 13, 2026.

The minimum age for Sub-Inspector positions is 18 years, and the maximum is 28 years. Age relaxation is also available for candidates from reserved categories. Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2025. This ensures that all eligible candidates can apply on time.

Candidates will be required to pay a fee when applying. The application fee for general category candidates is ₹700. For candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), the fee is ₹600. Forms will not be accepted without the application fee.

Selection of candidates for the Sub-Inspector position will be conducted in several stages. The first stage will be a written examination, consisting of multiple-choice questions from the English subject. One-quarter of a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). Final merit will be determined based on these two tests.

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official JKSSB website, www.jkssb.nic.in. The application process is simple and straightforward. Candidates must click on the online registration link available on the homepage. They must then fill in all the required information correctly. After completing the information, they must pay the fee online and finally, preserve a printout of the form.
