Important news for students regarding the UP Board High School and Intermediate Exams 2026. The board will soon release the list of exam centers on its official website.

A significant update has emerged regarding the UP Board High School and Intermediate Exams 2026. Sources indicate that the board has prepared a preliminary list of exam centers and is now preparing to upload it. This list will be available on the UP Board's official website within the next 36 hours.

There has already been considerable discussion regarding the number of exam centers this year, as the number of candidates for the 2026 exam has decreased. Last year, in 2025, 8,140 exam centers were set up, while sources indicate that approximately 8,000 exam centers have been proposed this year. Due to a decrease of approximately 200,000 candidates, speculations were already rife that the number of centers would decrease.

However, the board has clarified that this figure is not yet final. This is only a preliminary list and may change based on objections. The number of centers may increase or decrease based on objections. Therefore, students and schools are advised to carefully review the list after it is released on the website, and to file objections in time if they find any discrepancies.

The final list of exam centers will be released on December 30th. After this, no changes will be made, and the centers will be locked.

When will the exams be held?

As far as the exam schedule is concerned, the UP Board will conduct the 2026 high school and intermediate examinations between February 18th and March 12th. A total of 5.23 million candidates have registered for the exams this year. Of these, 27,50,945 students are enrolled in high school, while 24,79,352 are enrolled in intermediate.

Has the process been ongoing for a long time?

The process of determining examination centers in schools across the state has been ongoing for a long time. Factors such as security, convenience, distance, and past records were taken into account when selecting centers. This time, the board is making more stringent preparations than ever before to prevent cheating and ensure a smooth examination.

Students and teachers are now closely monitoring this preliminary list, which will be uploaded to the website. As soon as the list is released, demands for revisions to the centers may arise in many districts. However, the final decision will be reflected in the final list, which will be released on December 30th.
