Rapidly expanding its retail presence in India, Apple is going to open its fifth official store in DLF Mall of India, Noida on December 11. This store will be the third launch for the company in 2025, indicating that Apple is going through its fastest expansion phase ever in the country.
The company is also preparing to open its second outlet in Mumbai next year, which will further strengthen its offline penetration in the Indian market. Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and People Department Deirdre O’Brien said that India has become a very important market for the company. According to him, this new chapter of Apple retail in India is a big milestone for us. We are excited to connect with more communities through the Noida store.
This step of the company has come at a time when tremendous demand is being seen for iPhone 17 series in India. Apple is manufacturing all its iPhone 17 models and Air series products in India for the first time, which reflects the company’s growing partnership with India. Along with this, Apple has also recently made AppleCare+, the theft and damage protection plan for new iPhones, available in India.
Apple started its first two stores in April 2023 in Mumbai BKC and Delhi Saket. According to reports, both these stores did a business of around Rs 800 crore in their very first year, making them among the company’s most successful outlets globally. Interestingly, despite the strong presence of premium resellers and online channels in the country, Apple’s official stores continue to register strong footfall and sales.
Market analysts estimate that Apple’s India earnings will maintain double-digit growth in fiscal years 2026 and 2027 as well. The company is strongly leading in the premium smartphone category with 28 percent value share.
