Admission Rules for Transparency

To maintain transparency in Delhi schools, certain admission rules have been issued. Videography of the draw of lots will be mandatory. The criteria struck down by the High Court will no longer apply, and schools can charge only a registration fee of ₹25. Furthermore, a prospectus is no longer mandatory, and a district-level monitoring cell will oversee the entire process. To prevent arbitrariness by private schools, the Delhi High Court has established 62 criteria. A 100-point merit list will be prepared based on these criteria, with the primary weightings being distance, siblings, single girl children, and alumni. According to this merit, first, second and if needed, third list will be released.
