In winter, you must have heard about Gajak, jaggery and peanut chikki and also eaten it. Many people make these things at home and many buy them from the market. If you want to make market style Gajak at home then you can make it easily with the help of some ingredients.

Homemade Gajak is tastier, fresher and completely healthy. To make it, some ingredients and easy recipe will be required.

what materials are needed

Sesame (white) – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Desi ghee – 1 tsp
Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon

Know the easy recipe to make

With the help of these ingredients and the recipe given, you can easily make Gajak at home.

  • First of all, dry roast the sesame seeds on low flame for 5-6 minutes and keep them aside.
  • After keeping the sesame seeds aside, heat ghee in a pan, then add jaggery and some water and cook.
  • When the jaggery becomes syrupy and starts forming strings, then mix roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder in it.
  • Mix both the things well. Now spread this mixture on a greased plate.
  • If you want, roll it lightly with a rolling pin and cut it into desired shapes and let it cool. As soon as it cools down, your crispy, tasty and healthy desi gajak is ready.

Be sure to keep these things in mind

  • While making Gajak, do not roast the sesame seeds too much, otherwise its taste may become bitter.
  • Melt the jaggery syrup on low flame and keep stirring it continuously to avoid burning.
  • The mixture will be very hot when adding the nuts and sesame seeds, so mix it quickly and do not touch it. G
  • While rolling Gajak, apply some ghee on the rolling pin and surface so that the mixture does not stick.
  • After cutting, let the gajak cool completely, only then it will break into pieces easily.
