Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are set to reunite on screen. Fans are excited as it has been a decade since they last appeared together in Tamasha. They also shared the screen in the hit film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

The upcoming film is directed by Ayan Mukerji. It draws inspiration from the 1956 classic Chori Chori, starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis. However, this is not a direct remake. The story is being adapted for modern audiences. New characters, contemporary conflicts, and updated settings will give it a fresh feel. The essence of the original, a lighthearted tale of a runaway heiress and a clever reporter, will be retained.

This project has personal importance for Ranbir Kapoor. It will be the first release under the revived RK Films banner. RK Films was founded by his grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor. Ranbir has studied the original Chori Chori closely. He is deciding which elements to preserve and which to modernize.

Deepika Padukone will once again pair with Ranbir, bringing back the on-screen chemistry that fans loved. The project aims to balance nostalgia with contemporary storytelling. Industry insiders say the film will appeal to both older generations familiar with the classic and younger viewers.

Currently, Ranbir is working on Love & War and Ramayan. Deepika is preparing for her upcoming films King and a project with Allu Arjun. Despite their busy schedules, both actors are committed to this legacy project.
