Health in winter: Some precautions should be taken to keep you and your family members healthy during the cold season. It is extremely important to arrange for adequate food and medicines during this season, especially for the elderly. To ensure that the drop in temperature does not have a negative impact on health, do not forget to wear warm clothes, hat and gloves.

It’s important to keep all rooms warm during the day – the living room should be around 18 to 21°C (64 to 70°F), and the other rooms at least 16°C (61°F).

If you can’t keep all rooms heated, make sure one room stays warm throughout the day.

To avoid the risk of carbon monoxide, remember to have your heating boiler and appliances serviced annually by a registered engineer.
If it is snowing outside, wear shoes or boots with appropriate grip.

In winter, consume excellent sources of energy like almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, raisins, dates and pine nuts. These contain healthy fats, proteins and minerals, which keep the body warm from inside.

Don’t forget to keep your mobile phone charged as well.
