This special treatment is called ART. Through which the HIV virus is controlled within about six months. If AIDS patients are given the right medicines in time, their lifespan can be extended.
Dr. Ajit Kumar in the Department of Medicine at GTB Hospital, Delhi has given information regarding the manufacturing of vaccine for AIDS disease. He told that HIV virus is a very different type of virus, its structure keeps changing continuously. This virus easily deceives the immune system, the mutation of HIV virus is also much higher than any other virus, due to this a vaccine cannot be made against HIV. The reason behind this was also told that, if a vaccine is made against HIV virus, will it be able to activate the immune system.
There seems to be little hope for the vaccine’s success, but the vaccine manufacturing project is continuing. Scientists are trying to make a vaccine and hope to find a vaccine for AIDS.
