In order to review the departments, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a review meeting of the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department on Friday. In the meeting, the achievements and innovations of the two years of the department were presented and the action plan for the next three years was presented.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav directed the officials to keep the target of Lakhpati Bigha like Lakhpati Didi and also honor the farmers who earn Rs 1 lakh from one bigha. Necessary arrangements should be made to protect farmers from middlemen and to provide them direct benefits of their produce in the market. Intensive activities should be conducted at the village level to promote horticulture crops in the state and get better yield using updated technology.

The Chief Minister directed that the nurseries of every division should be developed ideally. A three-year action plan should be developed for forest management. Officials told the achievements of two years

  • The state ranks first in the country in the production of pulses, oilseeds and maize and second in the country in the production of food grains, cereals and wheat.
  • Under fertilizer distribution, 38.10 lakh metric tons of urea and 21.41 lakh metric tons of DAP + NPK will be supplied in the year 2024-25. have been delivered. 29.77 lakh metric tons of Urea in the year 2025-26 and 19.42 metric tons of DAP + NPK by 30th November. Was distributed.
  • Under Prime Minister Crop Insurance, a claim of Rs 961.68 crore was paid to 1 crore 77 lakh insured farmers in the year 2023-24 and a claim of Rs 1275.86 crore was paid to 1 crore 79 lakh insured farmers in the year 2024-25.
  • Under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, assistance amounting to Rs 4,687 crore was distributed in the year 2023-24, Rs 4,849 crore in the year 2024-25 and Rs 3,374 crore in the year 2025-26.
  • E-Mandi scheme has been implemented in all 259 markets of the state. Also received Scotch Gold Award for this achievement.
  • With MP Farm Gate App by Mandi Board, farmers were able to sell their agricultural produce from their home, barn and warehouse at their own price. This innovation received a Scotch Silver Award.
  • Under stubble management, 1312 weeding equipment were distributed in the year 2023-24, 1757 in the year 2024-25 and 2479 in the year 2025-26.
  • Under agricultural mechanization, drone pilot schools were started in Bhopal and Indore.
  • The pilot project of fertilizer distribution through e-development portal was implemented in Vidisha, Shajapur and Jabalpur. There is a plan to implement it in the entire state.

  • Weekly organic/natural market markets will be organized in all 363 municipalities and nagar panchayats of the state.

  • The target has been set to expand the area for self-sufficiency in oilseeds and pulses crops.
  • The distance from the laboratory to the field will be reduced by encouraging research action plans in agriculture.
