Delhi: Indian women’s team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana was seen again at the training ground just a day after confirming the end of her marriage. She was seen batting in the nets wearing a practice jersey and was seen taking throwdowns.
Smriti started practicing
Her brother Shravan Mandhana shared a photo of Smriti on Instagram. The picture quickly went viral on social media and people started praising his courage and professional attitude.
Smriti Mandhana was an important player for India in winning the Women’s World Cup 2025. Now she will be seen playing again in the five-match T20 series against Sri Lanka from 21st to 30th December. These matches will be played in Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram and will be part of the preparation for next year’s T20 World Cup.
Smriti will also be the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women’s Premier League. The tournament is scheduled to start from January 9 in Navi Mumbai.
Mandhana confirmed the end of her marriage
On December 7, Smriti Mandhana posted on Instagram and wrote, “I need to clarify that the wedding is called off.” He appealed for privacy of both the families and said that representing India is his first priority.
On the same day, musician Palash Muchhal also made a post and wrote that he is “moving on” from this relationship. He described this time as a difficult period in his life and warned of legal action by calling the rumors spreading about him wrong.
After the official statement came from both of them on Sunday, they unfollowed each other on social media and deleted almost all the shared posts.
