Delhi–Mumbai Expressway: In a significant infrastructure push for the country India is building one of its most modern road networks and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is at the centre of this change. In a major good news for the commuters who regularly travel between New Delhi and Mumbai the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway will cut the travel time between Delhi and Mumbai from 25 hours to 12.5 hours. With six to eight lanes that can be expanded to 12 in the future this expressway promises faster and safer travel. Delhi–Mumbai Expressway The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is a 1355-kilometre expressway is being built by NHAI under the Bharatmala project. The work for the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway began in 2019 and 774 kilometres are already open. More importantly the remaining stretch is expected to be completed by March 2026. Costing about one lakh crore rupees the expressway project includes large-scale work such as land acquisition bridges tunnels lighting and advanced safety systems. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Connecting six states Passing through Delhi Haryana Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh Gujarat and Maharashtra the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway starts from the DND Flyway in Delhi and crossing Dausa Sawai Madhopur Ratlam Vadodara and Surat before ending in Mumbai. With a maximum speed limit of 120 kilometres per hour the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway will make travel easier to major cities such as Jaipur Kota Udaipur Indore and Ahmedabad and boost trade and connectivity across the country.
