IPL 2026 Mini Auction: BCCI make BIG move, cut 1000 players from…, check FULL LIST of cricketers available

The Indian Premier League 2026 mini auction is set to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16 from 230pm IST onwards. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a final pruned-down list for the players available in the IPL 2026 auction cutting out 1000 cricketers to bring the final available list down to just 350.
A total of 350 cricketers – 240 Indians and 110 overseas players – will now be going under the hammer in the mini auction. All 10 teams will have a total of 77 slots to fill at the auction.
South Africa’s veteran wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock who recently came out of his ODI retirement will be a late addition in the final list. De Kock has been added at a base price of Rs 1 crore down from Rs 2 crore he was paid by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2025 season. The list also includes Australian batter Steve Smith at a base price of Rs 2 crore. Smith last played in the IPL in 2021.
A total of 1390 players had registered for the mini auction. The number was cut down to 1005 players before 350 were finally shortlisted to battle for 77 slots available across the 10 teams for the 19th edition of the T20 league.
The first set of players in the auction includes Indian cricketers Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan who both have kept their base price at Rs 75 lakh each along with two Australians in Cameron Green and Jake Fraser-McGurk along with New Zealand and former Chennai Super Kings opener Devon Conway and South Africa’s David Miller with each of them keeping a base price of Rs 2 crore.
Venkatesh Iyer who was released by KKR after being bought for Rs 23.75 crore has listed himself at a base price of Rs 2 crore. The highest reserve price remains Rs 2 crore with 40 players choosing to enter the auction in this bracket.
Three-time winners KKR will go into the auction with the biggest purse of Rs 64.3 crores followed by five-time champions Chennai Super Kings with Rs 43.4 crores. Sunrisers Hyderabad who have won the IPL once have the third highest purse of Rs 25.5 crores.
