Raxaul-Haldia Expressway: The development of the Raxaul-Haldia Greenfield Expressway is part of the national government’s ongoing efforts to build infrastructure in Bihar. The Muzaffarpur district has formally started the building process, which is a major advancement for the connectivity of the area.
The District Land purchase Officer has received a report from the Aurai Circle Officer (CO) on the validation of the 3-A land purchase request. The sites where the purchase process will soon begin are identified in this report.
Villages Identified: Five villages in the Aurai block will have land acquired:
Paramjivar Tarajivar Bhawanipur
These revenue villages’ names and corresponding police station numbers are included in the CO’s report. It is anticipated that reports for more communities that are probably going to be a part of the project will be filed shortly.
The route chosen by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is expected to greatly improve regional connectivity.
Highway Type: This will be the first six-lane facility in Muzaffarpur.
District Coverage: The Muzaffarpur district will be traversed by the highway for around 50 kilometers.
The Route: From Raxaul, the motorway will go to Samastipur via Minapur and Aurai in Muzaffarpur. It will next go via Begusarai, Lakhisarai, and Jamui to reach Haldia.
It is anticipated that the completion of this 50-kilometer section in Muzaffarpur would improve local infrastructure and provide dual access to Haldia Port and the Nepal border.
Reducing Time and Distance:
Present Situation: The current four-lane road route to Bengal takes around 15 hours and passes via Purnia.
Future Prospects: The journey will take just eight hours thanks to the upcoming six-lane motorway, which will provide a direct route via Samastipur.
Even though it would take a long time to finish, the project is anticipated to quicken the rate of regional growth. It is anticipated that the roadway would make it simpler for people to travel about and provide jobs for the locals.
