CBSE Board Exam 2026: CBSE Board has issued new rules for class 10th board exam 2026. It is told that the copy of Science and Social Science will have to be written by dividing it into sections, otherwise the answers will not be checked. Read to know complete details.

CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2026: CBSE has issued very important instructions for class 10 students just before the board examinations of 2026. If you are going to appear for 10th board this time, then it is very important to understand the new rule, because even a small mistake made while writing the copy can directly result in deduction of marks. The board has made it clear that the answer sheets of Science and Social Science will no longer be written in the old way. It has been completely decided in which section the answer has to be written.

CBSE has issued new instructions, now copy will have to be written like this

CBSE notice has been released on the official website cbse.gov.in. According to the notice, from 2026 the question papers of class 10th Science and Social will be divided into sections and students will have to prepare their answer book in the same way.

Science question paper now in 3 sections

This time the science paper is divided into three parts-

  • Section-A: Biology
  • Section-B: Chemistry
  • Section-C: Physics

Social science question paper now in 4 sections

Social Science paper will be in four parts-

  • Section-A: History
  • Section-B: Geography
  • Section-C: Political Science
  • Section-D: Economics

5 strict instructions of CBSE for 10th board students

CBSE has also implemented some strict rules under the new system, which include-

  • Correct use of answer book: There will be 3 sections in Science and 4 sections in Social. Write the answer in the same section.
  • Write only in the space provided: Write your answers in the space provided for each section.
  • Do not mix answers: Do not write the answers of any section in another section.
  • Writing in wrong place: If answers are written in any other section, they will not be checked and marks will not be awarded.
  • Such mistakes will not be accepted or rectified in verification or re-evaluation even after the result is declared.

When does CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2026 start?

The schedule of Class 10 Board Exam 2026 has already been released, according to which the examinations will be held from 17 February 2026 to 10 March 2026. On the first day, there will be examination of Maths Standard and Maths Basic. The last paper will be of French. Most of the exams will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Some papers will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
