Microsoft will invest Rs 1.5 lakh crore in India, CEO Satya Nadella made a big announcement

New Delhi. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has made a big announcement for India after his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Satya Nadella has said that tech giant Microsoft is going to invest Rs 1.5 lakh crore in India, which is the company’s biggest investment in Asia so far. This announcement by Satya Nadella is expected to give impetus to India’s ‘AI Dream’.

Satya Nadella has shared information about this investment in a post on social media platform X. He also shared a picture of himself with PM Modi. Satya Nadella wrote, “Thank you, PM Narendra Modi, for the inspiring conversation on AI opportunities in India. Microsoft is going to invest $ 17.5 billion to further the country’s ambitions.”

Satya Nadella has said that this is the company’s biggest investment in Asia so far. “This is our largest investment to date in Asia to help develop the infrastructure, skills and capabilities needed for India’s AI-first future,” he wrote.

Microsoft has issued a press release saying that Microsoft’s investment in India is focused on three pillars, which is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Modi. According to the statement, “Together we are ready to set new benchmarks in the coming decade and move the country from a digital public infrastructure to an AI public infrastructure. We are shaping a future that is more equitable.” The statement further said, “Microsoft’s investment in India is focused on three pillars, scale, skill and sovereignty, which is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision.”
