Jeff Garcia, best known for doing voiceover work of Sheen Estevez in Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron franchise, has died at the age of 50. The actor and comedian's son announced the news of his death on Instagram. Family members reportedly told TMZ Garcia died early Wednesday morning after being taken off life support at a Southern California hospital following several serious health complications over the past several months. Garcia was surrounded by his loved ones who were at his bedside. His exact cause of death has not yet been determined.
The publication also revealed that Jeff had been suffering from various health issues for months, including a brain aneurysm in the spring after hitting his head as a result of a fall. Although he recovered, Jeff experienced a stroke a few weeks back and did not receive treatment, according to sources.
His son Joseph Garcia penned a heartwarming tribute to his beloved dad on Instagram alongside photos of the father-son duo over the years. He began: "With a very heavy heart, I would like to inform everybody that my father, Jeff Garcia, has passed away."
"My father was a unique soul. He was unapologetically himself and I will always admire the love, compassion, and drive that he had. He taught me so much and gave me advice that I live by every single day."
He concluded: "Please give me and my family the time and privacy we need during this difficult time. I appreciate the kind words and wishes."
Tributes have poured in for the beloved actor and comic, as one wrote on X: "RIP Jeff Garcia. You'll be truly missed and we truly thank you for creating our childhoods."
A second echoed: "Sheen was an important part of my childhood. Rest in Peace Jeff Garcia."
