Alia Bhatt: At a lavish gala dinner at the fifth Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and Tunisian actress Hend Sabry received Golden Globes.

According to variety.com, Alia has received praise from critics and financial success for her exceptional roles in movies like “Highway,” “Raazi,” “Udta Punjab,” “Dear Zindagi,” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi.”

“I am thrilled to be a part of the Golden Globes, which are an iconic part of the global awards universe, and I look forward to continuing my career in telling more stories of powerful and deserving women,” she added.

According to variety.com, Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, said Sarby “a truly iconic performer and humanitarian whose body of work reflects the depth, power, and global impact of Arab cinema.”

Alia’s prize honored “her exceptional contributions to international cinema,” she stated.

Bhatt was given the Golden Globes Horizon Award, while Sabry was given the Omar Sharif Award.

Sabry gained international acclaim for her nuanced depictions of complicated, socially relevant characters in movies including “The Yacoubian Building,” “Scheherazade,” “Tell Me a Story,” and “Asmaa.”

“I am thrilled to be sharing this Golden Globes stage with Alia Bhatt, one of the next generation’s brightest and most talented stars,” Sabry said, adding that her career has been dedicated to elevating women with difficult tales.

Directors Sean Baker and Darren Aronofsky, actresses Sigourney Weaver, Naomie Harris, Shailene Woodley, and Olga Kurylenko, actor-director Idris Elba, and actors Légar Ramírez, Salman Khan, Henry Golding, and Riz Ahmed were among the attendees.

Speaking about Alia, the daughter of actor Soni Razadan and director Mahesh Bhatt, she will next be seen in Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor.

The movie is slated to be released on March 20, 2026.
