Farmers in Madhya Pradesh have a reason to cheer as the long wait for the 14th installment of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana may finally be coming to an end. After the latest installment of PM-Kisan was released recently, the state government is preparing to transfer an additional ₹2,000 to eligible farmers under its own scheme. According to reports, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav may release the new installment during a major farmer event scheduled in Dhar district on December 12.

The Kisan Kalyan Yojana provides ₹6,000 annually, divided into three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, to help farmers manage rising agricultural expenses. The upcoming 14th installment is therefore eagerly awaited, especially with the ongoing crop season increasing financial pressure on farmers.

When Will the 14th Installment Be Released?

The previous 13th installment was credited in August, and now the next payment is expected in December. Several media reports suggest that the amount may be transferred together with the third installment of the Bhantar scheme, which is also due this month. Farmers should keep an eye on the announcements between December 10 and 12, as the release may happen during the CM’s Dhar event.

Once the installment is released, the amount will be transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Beneficiaries can check the status of their payment on the official portal mpkisan.gov.in or by visiting their nearest CSC center. Farmers must complete eKYC and ensure their Aadhaar-linked details are updated to avoid payment delays or rejection.

The government has become strict about eliminating duplicate applicants and ineligible beneficiaries. Therefore, any mismatch in documents may result in removal from the beneficiary list. Farmers are advised to update all records well in advance.

Who Is Eligible for the Scheme?

The scheme is aimed at providing financial support to small and marginal farmers. The eligibility rules include:

  • Farmers owning up to 5 acres of land

  • Applicants must not be income tax payers

  • Benefits are separate from the central PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi

  • The scheme especially supports farmers growing crops like soybean, wheat, and pulses

Beneficiaries say that the ₹2,000 installment plays a crucial role in meeting immediate farm expenses—whether it’s for seeds, fertilizer, labor, or irrigation costs.

How to Check Payment Status

Farmers can verify whether their name is included in the beneficiary list by:

  1. Visiting mpkisan.gov.in

  2. Entering their Aadhaar or mobile number

  3. Completing the eKYC (if pending)

  4. Checking installment status under “Beneficiary Details”

They can also check status or update details at the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC). If a farmer’s name is missing despite eligibility, they may file a complaint at their local tehsil or panchayat office.

Why Farmers Are Hopeful This Time

Farmer organisations believe that timely payment boosts confidence during the sowing and harvesting cycles. CM Mohan Yadav has repeatedly stated that farmers form the backbone of Madhya Pradesh’s economy. With welfare schemes such as Bhantar Yojana, Ladli Behna scheme, and Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the government aims to strengthen rural households and reduce the financial stress of farming.

Villages across the state are already buzzing with expectations. For many families, this installment—though a modest amount—brings immediate relief during a demanding farming season.
