Dehradun: The weather of Uttarakhand has once again surprised everyone. If you are planning to travel or go for work tomorrow i.e. on 13th December, then the good news is that dry weather will prevail in the entire state. No worry about rain, no fear of snowfall. But yes, a slight drop in the minimum temperature can definitely increase the chill. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), clear sky will be seen in most places from the plains to the mountains. So let us know in details how tomorrow will be.
The weather tomorrow in plain districts like Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar will be mostly clear. The minimum temperature in Dehradun is expected to be recorded around 7 degrees Celsius and maximum around 25 degrees. Light fog in the morning may reduce visibility, especially in the valleys. The temperature in Haridwar will be between 8 to 22 degrees, while in areas like Haldwani, it is expected to be 9 degrees minimum and 21 degrees maximum. There is no chance of rain or hail, but cold winds will increase the chill in the evening. If you want to avoid getting stuck in traffic, leave early in the morning.
The situation is a bit harsh in the hilly districts. In places like Nainital, Almora and Chamoli, the temperature will be between 12 to 22 degrees, but in high altitude areas like Kedarnath and Badrinath the minimum temperature may drop to 6 degrees. There will be light clouds here, and the threat of cold is looming in the higher areas. IMD has issued an alert of frost risk in high altitude areas, which means light snow may be found on the ground. There will be cold winds with clear sky in Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi too, but no major change. Trekkers and locals be careful, don’t forget warm clothes.
Even after December 13, dry weather will continue till December 14 and 15. There will be no major change in the minimum temperature after the drop of 1-2 degrees on 10-11 December. No sign of rain or snowfall across Uttarakhand. However, morning fog can be common in the valleys. According to IMD, there is no orange or red alert, but travelers should be cautious of local fog. If you are thinking of a Char Dham Yatra, tomorrow is a perfect day – just stay safe from the cold.
