These days, a surprising video is doing the rounds on social media, in which a train engine is seen stopping to buy vegetables. This video is said to be from Khairabad area of Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident is said to have taken place near Tappa Khajuria railway crossing, where passersby recorded the entire incident in their mobile cameras and later shared it on social media.
In the video going viral, it can be clearly seen that the engine of the train stops for some time near the railway crossing. Meanwhile, two people are seen climbing inside the engine carrying vegetables in black polythene. It is being told that the people sitting in the engine stopped the train to buy vegetables. This scene shocked the people present there, because usually trains stop only at designated stations and not at open railway crossings like this.
The special thing about the video is that not only the visuals are visible but also the sound playing from behind is clearly heard. In the audio, some people are heard narrating the entire incident and saying that the train engine has been stopped to buy vegetables. Both surprise and displeasure are visible in the voice. Passersby are seen raising questions on the right by which the train was stopped midway and vegetables are being carried in the engine like common people.
As soon as this video surfaced on social media, it went viral within no time. It is being shared in large numbers on platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and X. Many users have raised the question that if a common man travels in a train without a ticket, he is fined, but when the engine is stopped for personal work like this, then why no action is taken against him.
Some people say that such incidents also raise questions on the security arrangements of the Railways. If the train can be stopped anywhere and anyone can board the engine, then it is a matter of serious concern for the safety of passengers.
However, this video has not been officially confirmed yet by the Railway Administration. Nor is it clear who are the people seen in the video and on whose orders the train was stopped. Despite this, the video has definitely raised questions on the functioning of the railway officials. Common people are demanding that the matter should be investigated and if rules have been violated, then strict action should be taken against those responsible.
It is alleged that the railway employees closed the gate and went to collect vegetables from the train.
