The company has reduced the data benefits with data booster packs bundled with its unlimited (UL) 5G data offering. The Indian telecom operator had launched three UL 5G booster packs in July 2024, so that users using plans without unlimited 5G benefits can upgrade their plans and enjoy unlimited 5G data. Airtel is changing their plans very fast. The company has now reduced the data benefits in the data booster packs.

According to a TelecomTalk report, now Airtel users with plans offering 2GB or more data per day are now getting unlimited 5G data. Users of daily 1GB and 1.5GB data plans will be able to upgrade to unlimited 5G data using the Unlimited 5G add-on packs, which are priced at Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 151. (Photo Courtesy – Pinterest)

At launch, these packs offered 3GB, 6GB and 9GB extra data in addition to unlimited 5G data for the rest of the available validity. Unlimited 5G data is more than the limit of the plan and can be used only in areas with 5G network. Airtel has now reduced the data benefits on these add-on packs.

So much data to get now

According to the website, the Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 151 unlimited 5G add-on packs will now offer 1GB (earlier 3GB), 2GB (earlier 6GB) and 3GB (earlier 9GB) data with unlimited 5G data benefits. 50 paisa per MB will be charged for additional data after the data limit is over. Add-on packs can be availed only when customers are using a customer eligible base plan.

Airtel Unlimited 5G Data Benefit

With Airtel’s Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 151 unlimited 5G data add-on packs, users with 1GB or 1.5GB per day plans will now also be able to enjoy unlimited 5G data. For this, a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 300GB will be applied for 30 days. As Airtel allows using any data benefit on the 5G network, data usage becomes significantly faster when connected to 5G.
