U19 Asia Cup 2025: In the fifth match of Under-19 Asia Cup, India defeated Pakistan by 90 runs. Batting first, India scored 240 runs but in reply Pakistani team could not chase the score. India's explosive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi could score only 5 runs on the Dubai pitch. Captain Ayush Mhatre was also out after scoring 38 runs but after this three Indian players played an important role in defeating Pakistan.
India's victory Batsman Aaron George, all-rounder Kanishk Chauhan and fast bowler Deepesh Devendran performed brilliantly. Aaron George scored 85 runs in 88 balls. Kanishk Chauhan played an inning of 46 runs and along with it took 3 wickets. Whereas fast bowler Deepesh took 3 wickets for just 16 runs.
Batting first, India lost its biggest wicket in the fourth over itself. Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi was out after hitting a four. After this, Aaron George along with captain Ayush Mhatre attacked Pakistan while doing amazing batting. Aaron George looked in great shape and Ayush Mhatre was seen batting very aggressively. This player had hit 3 sixes and four fours but then he was out after scoring 38 runs. After this, Vihaan Malhotra was out on 12 runs and Vedant Tiwari was out on just 7 runs. But Aaron George remained at the crease and scored a brilliant half-century.
Apart from him, all-rounder Kanishk Chauhan played an excellent innings. He scored 46 runs in 46 balls. However, this player could not score a half-century and Aaron George could not score a century. Pakistani fast bowlers Mohammad Sayyam and Abdul Subhan took 3 wickets each and reduced India to 240 runs.
Team India needed excellent bowling to save 240 runs and the bowlers did not disappoint. Deepesh Devendran brought the first success to the team. He dismissed Sameer Manhas, who scored an explosive century in the last match, for 9 runs. This player also took the wicket of Ali Hasan Baloch. Deepesh also hunted Ahmed Hussain. After this, Pakistan's morale was shattered by Kanishk Chauhan dismissing Usman Khan.
In the middle overs, captain Farhan Yusuf and Huzaifa Ehsan made a good partnership but this pair was broken by Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He dismissed Farhan Yusuf. After this, Kanishk Chauhan broke Pakistan's hopes by dismissing Huzaifa Ehsaan for 70 runs. Within no time, Pakistan team was reduced to 150 runs in 41.2 overs.
