Several people tried to convince her Sunny Deol himself producer Pahlaj Nihalani and director Rajkumar Santoshi but she stood her ground. The issue had turned tense and the film risked losing a key character. How did Dharmendra change everything? That’s when Dharmendra decided to step in personally. Known to be deeply protective of Sunny and Bobby Deol’s careers he felt Moushumi was crucial to the film. When he visited her he neither used his star power nor applied pressure. Instead Dharmendra calmly assured her that she would receive every rupee she deserved “not one rupee less” as Moushumi recalled. His humility and honesty touched her deeply and she finally agreed to do the film. What happened next?
