During this visit, he had darshan of Mother Bhagwati at Naina Devi Temple, where the Shaktipeeth is located. Yami Gautam’s mother Anjali Gautam, maternal uncle Anup Gautam and family members Sachin and Mohit Gautam were also present on this occasion. Aditya Dhar not only performed ritual puja in the temple, but also expressed his gratitude at his mother’s feet by performing Kanjak puja.

Shaktipeeth Naina Devi Temple

Naina Devi Temple is a famous and holy Shaktipeeth situated on high hills in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. According to religious belief, the eyes (Naina) incarnation of Goddess Sati manifested at this place, hence the name ‘Naina Devi’. This temple is considered as one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. The temple premises are very peaceful and scenic with a breathtaking view of the reservoir of Govind Sagar Dam and the surrounding mountains. Therefore, a beautiful confluence of faith and natural beauty can be experienced here.

Beliefs to Naina Devi Temple

• The nearest airport to Naina Devi Temple is Chandigarh and the temple is about 100 km away from there.
• The nearest railway station is Anandpur Sahib, which is about 25 km away. This temple is about 350 km from Delhi and about 100 km from Chandigarh.
• Regular bus services are available here from many cities of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Taxis are also easily available from Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib or Kiratpur Sahib. The temple is approximately 30 km from Kiratpur Sahib and about 13 km of the route is hilly. The distance from Anandpur Sahib is about 20 kms.
• A ropeway facility is also available for the devotees which makes the climb easier. From the bus stand one can reach the temple by palanquin or on foot.
