New Delhi: Hardik Pandya achieved multiple milestones to create history in T20I cricket during the third match betweenIndia and South Africa at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday, December 14.
Pandya became the first seam-bowling all-rounder to achieve a double of 1000-plus runs and 100-plus wickets in Men’s T20Is. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi, and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza have achieved the feat previously.
The all-rounder also became the third Indian Men’s bowler to take 100 wickets in T20I cricket, after Arshdeep Singh (112) and Jasprit Bumrah (101). He completed the milestone after removing Tristan Stubbs for 9 runs in the third T20I against South Africa.

Pakistan’s Nida Dar, Australia’s Ellyse Perry, Uganda’s Janet Mbabazi, New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, and the West Indies’ Hayley Matthews have also achieved the double of 1,000-plus runs and 100-plus wickets.
Arshdeep was the first to reach the 100 T20I wickets milestone during India’s match against Oman in the 2025 Asia Cup, while Bumrah completed the milestone in the ongoing series against South Africa. Deepti Sharma is the only Indian spinner to achieve the feat in women’s T20I.
Arshdeep Singh breaks Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s recordArshdeep Singh also became the bowler with the most wickets in power play for India in T20Is. He dismissed Reeza Hendricks in the third T20I to take his 48th wicket in the first six overs, breaking Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record of 47 scalps.

The Men in Blue made two changes in the playing XI as Bumrah missed the third T20I due to personal reasons, while Axar Patel was dropped due to illness. Kuldeep Yadav and Harshit Rana replaced them in the squad.
