Two planes were canceled for safety concerns owing to low visibility in the morning, according to airport sources cited by jagran.com. There was one arrival and one departure flight that was canceled. Passengers flocked to airline counters in search of information after learning of the abrupt cancellations.

Due to poor visibility, Indigo’s 11 a.m. flight from Patna has been delayed. The new departure time for this flight is 2 pm. Many passengers claim they did not get clear information in a timely manner, despite the airline’s pledge to notify them by calls and mobile messaging.

Passengers traveling to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and other places were particularly inconvenienced by flight delays and cancellations. While many passengers had to deal with rescheduling and ticket refunds, several passengers complained that it was impossible to find alternative flights.

According to the airport management, fog often impairs morning vision throughout the winter, which interferes with aircraft operations. Passenger safety is the sole consideration when flights are canceled or delayed. Before arriving at the airport, travelers are advised by the administration to confirm their flight status with the appropriate airline.

Indigo Airlines has said that every help is being given to customers and that flight operations will resume as soon as the weather improves. Although fog is still affecting morning flights, clear weather is now predicted to allow flights to resume as usual in the afternoon.
