Dharmendra once had to go to actress Moushumi Chatterjee's house for the sake of his son Sunny. Although Dharmendra had not informed anyone about this and when he reached Moushumi's house, the actress's maid was surprised to see the actor.

The film was rejected due to fees

Moushumi revealed that for the film 'Ghayal' (1990) sunny deolPahlaj Nihalani and Rajkumar Santoshi came to his house. He had offered the film to the actress. The actress played the role of Raj Babbar's wife and Sunny Deol's sister-in-law in it. However, Moushumi had initially rejected the offer due to the fees being low.

Moushumi further told that later Dharmendra came to her house. According to the actress, Dharmendra had convinced her to do the film and had promised that she would get a higher fee. Later this happened and the film also got blockbuster success at the ticket window. In such a situation, along with Moushumi, other artists and makers also benefited.

Died on 24th November

Dharmendra died on the morning of 24 November during treatment at his Juhu home. The veteran actor breathed his last at the age of 89. The veteran actor was also cremated on the same day in Mumbai.
