Yamuna Expressway Traffic: Agra-Noida Lane Closed After Multi-Vehicle Collision Causes 3-Km Traffic Jam on Yamuna Expressway

Yamuna Expressway Traffic:  Massive traffic jams were seen close to the Khandauli toll plaza in Agra on Tuesday morning after an accident on the Yamuna Expressway. An almost three-kilometer traffic gridlock resulted from the entire closure of the Agra-Noida highway. According to jagran.com, thousands of cars were blocked on the motorway, creating considerable discomfort and keeping commuters trapped for many hours.

Around two in the morning on Tuesday, a number of cars crashed in the thick fog on the Agra-Noida lane of the Yamuna Expressway, resulting in four fatalities and twenty-five injuries. The route leading from Agra to Noida was the scene of the collision. Two autos and six buses caught fire. There were a lot of individuals stuck inside the cars. Four individuals perished in the fire; however, several were able to escape. Numerous additional people were hurt.

At milestone number 125, close to Khadehra hamlet, in the vicinity of the Baldev police station, the event took place. At night, vision was completely obscured by the thick fog. The crash occurred as a result of drivers in both directions being unable to see one another. The cars caught fire as a result of the accident.

Vehicles Stopped at the Toll Plaza After a 3-Km Wait
Vehicle traffic was stopped and the toll plaza was shuttered as a precaution. The toll plaza was still blocked at the time this story was filed, and there was a nearly three-kilometer line of cars. The management was rerouting cars in other directions to guarantee efficient traffic. The government and police were attempting to restore normalcy.
