Abhigyan Kundu has become the first Indian batsman to score a double century in Youth ODI. Along with this, this is also the second highest individual score of any batsman in Youth ODI cricket. With this innings of Abhigyan Kundu, Ambati Rayudu’s record was broken. This is now the highest score by an Indian batsman in Youth ODI. Earlier, Ambati Rayudu had scored unbeaten 177 runs against England Under-19 in Taunton in the year 2002.

The Indian Under-19 team had already reached the semi-finals of this tournament. India had defeated United Arab Emirates (UAE) by a huge margin of 234 runs in the first match. The Indian team will play its semi-final on 19 December.
