hMany of us apply for leave in the office citing different reasons. Some reasons are true, but sometimes we hesitate to tell the real reason and take leave by making the excuse of illness. But recently a company manager shared a funny and true leave request on social media. In this, a boy had asked for a day's leave for his love.
In the email, the employee had asked for one day leave on 16th December. He told the reason that the next day, i.e. on 17th December, his girlfriend was going to her home in Uttarakhand and would return only in the beginning of January. The employee wrote that he wanted to spend a day with his girlfriend before she left.
What the manager wrote on this message was also quite interesting. He said that now there has been a lot of change in the work culture. Earlier, people used to call at the last moment and ask for sick leave without giving any clear reason. But, the application which tells everything so honestly is completely different. He said that this openness is a good change. He agreed to leave, saying, "How can we say no to love?" This honesty of the employee and the reply of the manager were praised by many people on social media. People also said that talking openly and having trust in the office creates a good work environment.
