Farming and treatment will be done through AI in India, Google is going to play a bet worth crores

Google, one of the world's biggest tech companies, has made a big announcement on Tuesday. The company is going to bet crores of rupees in India. In fact, the company announced financial assistance of US $ 8 million to India's AI Centers of Excellence for Health, Agriculture, Education and Sustainable Cities. Also, a commitment of US$ 4,00,000 has been made to support the development of India's health model. Google is also providing a grant of US$50,000 to Gyani.AI, Corover.AI, and BharatGen to build models that provide solutions for Indian languages.

Google will give 45 lakh dollars to health and agriculture

Google said it is providing US$4.5 million to Wadhwani AI to support multilingual AI-operated applications for health and agriculture. The company said these announcements represent a series of new collaborations and funding commitments made by Google to strengthen India's AI ecosystem. Google has announced US$400,000 to support new collaborations that leverage MedGemma to build health models of India, the US company said.

Will work with AIIMS

Google said Ajna Lens will work with experts from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to develop models that will support India-specific use in dermatology and OPD triaging. Additionally, IISc (Indian Institute of Science) researchers, AI experts and practitioners will explore the use of AI models for broader clinical applications. To advance its inclusive AI agenda, Google has announced an initial contribution of US $ 2 million to establish a new Indian Language Technology Research Center at IIT Mumbai. Google said that the aim of this initiative is to ensure that global progress is in the interest of India's linguistic diversity.
