Chennai Super Kings have spent crores of rupees on uncapped players Karthik Sharma and Prashant Veer. Karthik Sharma and Prashant have now become the most expensive uncapped players in IPL history. CSK has bought both for Rs 14.20-14.20 crore.
Karthik Sharma of Rajasthan is a wicketkeeper batsman. His base price was Rs 30 lakh. Due to his brilliant performance in domestic cricket, he has now been showered with so much money in the auction. There was competition between CSK, Sunrisers Hyderabad and KKR to buy Karthik. KKR had bid up to Rs 10 crore on Karthik, while Sunrisers had bid up to Rs 13.20 crore, but in the end CSK won and included Karthik in their team.
Prashant Veer is a resident of UP and has been performing brilliantly for UP in domestic cricket. Prashant plays the role of an all-rounder. Now Prashant Ravindra can be seen playing the role of Ravindra Jadeja in the new season for CSK. From KKR, Sunrisers to Rajasthan Royals had shown interest in the auction to buy Prashant.
Prashant has played 9 T20 matches so far, during which he has scored 112 runs at a strike rate of 167.2. His base price in the auction was Rs 30 lakh, but now he is going to get crores of rupees.
